This year, Korean Air [003490] will provide free Prestige (business) airline tickets to Park Min-ji of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) when she uses Korean Air flights to participate in international golf competitions and training. It was announced on the 31st that it had decided to apply.

In relation to this, Korean Air held an 'Excellence Program Sponsorship Agreement Ceremony' at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul the day before with athlete Minji Park in attendance.

Korean Air announced that it selected Minji Park as a sponsored player because it is expected that she will actively participate in the LPGA Tour and achieve excellent results in the future.

Minji Park has ranked first in the KLPGA prize money list for two consecutive years since 2021, and won two KLPGA tournaments last year.

Since 2006, Korean Air has been selecting and sponsoring individuals who have demonstrated outstanding abilities in fields such as sports, culture and arts through the Excellence Program.International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Yoo Seung-min and pianist Lim Yun-chan are also currently eligible for sponsorship.
